AVUSD and CSD work together to finalize sale agreement
Per the AVUSD School Board's November decision to transfer the AV Community Park area to the AV Community Services District (for $1) for the explicit purpose of developing a skatepark on the property... the site transfer is now underway! In early December, AVUSD submitted its application to the California Department of Education to request a waiver of CDE regulations regarding property transfer; the waiver is anticipated to be granted in April. AVUSD and the CSD are currently finalizing the terms of the sale agreement, and local civil enginneer Ron Franz will soon be completing the boundary survey and grant deed for the property.
This property transfer is a huge, critial step towards achieving our goal of increasing recreation opportunities for the Anderson Valley community. Thanks to everyone who has collaborated to make this happen, with special thanks to AVUSD Superintendent Louise Simson and the AVUSD School Board.
